United Telecom Trophy
Newly crowned Belgian champ Steve Ramon (Suzuki Racing) is hands-down favourite for the last race of the
eight-race United Telecom Trophy series. It will also be the last serious test for ‘The Bomb’ before heading
stateside on Monday to race the MXoN. Fellow Nations colleague Ken De Dycker has a busy weekend ahead
of him. The tall CAS-Honda rider will defend his Maxxis ACU title on Saturday at Howton Court, Pontrilas. De
Dycker currently trails Billy Mackenzie by eight points and needs some luck to retain his crown.
Other riders to travel between Europe’s leading domestic series are factory Kawasaki rider Tanel Leok and
Mike Brown. Estonian Express Leok ran to an impressive win last weekend in Orp-le-Grand, however
competition in Pierreux looks fierce. Manuel Priem and Marvin Van Daele are keen to take advantage of their
strong form of late while Marc De Reuver, Jonathan Barragan, Aigar Leok and Franchman Xavier Boog are
sure to provide some more opposition.

Other riders to keep an eye on include MX3 regulars Sven Breugelmans (on the MX2 bike to prepare for the
European MX of Nations) and Kristof Salaets. Even is this star-filled line up is enough to make you dazzle the
‘Grand finale’ of the Belgian Championship has another ace up its sleeve in the form of the scenic and
flowing track of Pierreux. The revamped track was well received last year and track builder Fréderic Hoslet
showed in Orp that he knows what it takes to give the riders the best canvas to show their art.
Radson MX2 Trophy
Young gun Jeremy Van Horebeek (CHAMP-KTM) already wrapped up the Radson MX2 Trophy at the
penultimate round, but he’s not easily satisfied and has proven extremely hard to beat on home soil.

FMX4Ever freestyler and allround hugely talented motorcycle rider Gilles Dejong (FMX4EVER-KTM) lies
currently second in the series. Dejong makes the hardest things look easy and he might just be the one to
give Van Horebeek a run for his money this weekend. Kawasaki’s Jurgen Wybo scored his first Radson MX2
Trophy last week, so he’s definitely on a roll. However don’t count out Denmark’s fast teenager Nikolaj
Larsen or reigning MX2 champion Dennis Dierckx. The heat is on in MX2!
