FEATURE RACE RESULTSEuroSpeedway Lausitz, 9 October - A1 Team France has taken a double victory in the A1 Grand Prix of Nations, EuroSpeeday Lausitz, having started from pole and battling with A1 Team Switzerland for the first half of the race and holding off A1 Team Great Britain for the second. Comments: A1 Team France, Nicholas Lapierre ‘After the start to get away from Brazil and Switzerland, I used the PowerBoost button. The team then did a fantastic job with the pit stop and with a new set of tyres I was able to really push again. I knew Robbie had started from the back of the grid so when he was close behind me I realised he must have been driving very quickly.’ A1 Team Great Britain, Robbie Kerr ‘The first and second race were a contrast, I came together with USA in the first race but the second race more than made up for it. I drove 100 per cent and had no time to rest and overtook a lot of cars on the first lap. The team did an excellent job once again. I had an early pit stop and pushed very hard afterwards not knowing what where I would end up. It was only when the safety car came out that I knew I was in P2.’ A1 Team Canada, Sean McIntosh ‘I had an early pit stop and continued to push throughout the race. I tried hard to catch Robbie. The team did an excellent job. I flat spotted both of my front tyres and it was a struggle to make sure nobody would get by. It wasn’t too bad though, it was just a case of being consistent.’ Championship points 1 Brazil 30
A1 Team Brazil scored an additional championship point for recording the fastest race lap of 1.34.736 in lap 14 of the Sprint race.
